Himalayan Mountains, wildlife and friendly smiles. I think this video speaks for just how friendly and smiling the Nepali people were. The hundreds of waves from curious children and little conversations with locals made bicycle touring Nepal so memorable.
In the tourism industry, Nepal markets itself as being a destination where “Once is not enough”. And its true. The Himalayan ranges are simply breathtaking. As you take your last look at the mountains you can’t help but think to the next time you will return.
For us it is not the desire to go higher or reach more remote locations. Simply that the enormity of the mountains makes you feel so comfortingly small. As you stare at the peaks you realise that all your little problems are just little bumps on your road.
There are a few clips of my adventure into the Nepali Jungle. Yes that’s right, Nepal is not only rich in mountains but beautiful wildlife and jungles. I was lucky enough to spot a tiger and a lone white elephant ploughing its way through the jungle undergrowth. Read about my tiger encounter here
To all those little kids that waved their arms off saying hello, this is for you. Whilst riding, there is no energy boost alike a smiling child jumping up and down in delight.
